Churchwide office staff attend National Apology Anniversary

LCA Churchwide staff in Adelaide attended Reconciliation SA’s 2021 breakfast to commemorate the Anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations. Staff shared in some amazing stories from members of the Stolen Generation, through music, artwork and video. Although impacted by COVID restrictions, the event sold out (of the 1300 available tickets). Saturday 13 February, 2021 being the commemoration of the 13th Anniversary of Kevin Rudd’s National Apology to the Stolen Generations, it is timely to reflect that we may well have members or descendants of the Stolen Generation in our parishes and congregations.  There are many within the Aboriginal Lutheran Communities in Central Australia, the west coast of South Australia and Far North Queensland. We seek God’s peace and comfort for all!
